IMS Jammu Successfully Hosted Business Tech Conclave – Manthan 2K25
The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Jammu successfully organised the Business Tech Conclave – Manthan 2K25, providing a dynamic platform for students to showcase their talent, creativity, technical skills, and innovative thinking.
Held on the college campus, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing numerous institutions across the region. The conclave aimed to encourage learning, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and skill development among young minds.
Inaugural Ceremony
The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana, setting a positive and inspiring tone for the event.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, Director of IMS Jammu, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, including:
- Mr. Annil Suri, President and CEO of AB Consultants
- Er. Vidhi S. Jamwal, Chairman, Jamwal Group
- Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, Jamwal Group
- Shivdev S. Jamwal, Vice Chairman
During her address, Dr. Meenakshi Sharma highlighted the various competitions and activities planned for the conclave and extended her best wishes to all participating students.
Er. Vidhi S. Jamwal, Chairman of the Jamwal Group, congratulated the organisers for successfully conducting the event and encouraged students to continuously develop their skills through such platforms. He motivated students to channelise their energy positively and strive to become responsible and successful global citizens.
In his keynote address, the Chief Guest Mr. Annil Suri appreciated the initiative taken by IMS Jammu in creating opportunities for undergraduate students across the region. He emphasized that such events provide an excellent platform for students to showcase, enhance, and refine their talents and abilities.
The inaugural ceremony also witnessed the release of “Reflection’ 25”, the annual newsletter of IMS College.
Competitions and Participation
The conclave recorded participation from 156 students representing 14 colleges, including:
- SPMR College of Commerce
- MAM College
- And several other institutions from the region
The event featured a variety of engaging competitions and activities such as:
- Product Launch Competition
- Quiz Competition
- Code-a-Thon
- Just a Minute (JAM)
- Blindfold Games
These activities successfully encouraged creativity, teamwork, innovation, communication, and problem-solving skills among participants.
Prize Distribution Ceremony
During the afternoon prize distribution ceremony, special guests Mr. Nakul Khanna, Cluster Head, and Ms. Lakshmi Badiar, Relationship Manager, both from Nippon Mutual Fund, delivered motivational speeches and appreciated the efforts of IMS Jammu in organising such impactful events for students.
Prof. J.R. Dhotra delivered the concluding remarks and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in shaping confident, skilled, and future-ready leaders.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Er. Divya Jamwal, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, faculty members, organisers, and students for contributing to the grand success of Manthan 2K25.
