IMS Jammu Celebrated International Women’s Day with a Focus on Women Empowerment

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) Cell of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Jammu celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm and a special focus on Women Empowerment.

The event witnessed active participation from students of BBA, BCA, and MBA, who engaged in various activities aimed at highlighting the strength, achievements, and contributions of women across different sectors of society.

Insightful Presentation on Women Empowerment

The celebration commenced with an insightful PowerPoint presentation delivered by Shubam Thakur from MBA 2nd Semester. During the presentation, he elaborately discussed the importance of women empowerment and showcased inspiring examples of successful women from around the world.

The presentation also emphasized the role of society in promoting gender equality and highlighted how empowered women contribute significantly to social, economic, and cultural development.

Role-Play Activity by Students

Following the presentation, students performed an engaging role-play activity portraying women in various roles such as housewives, doctors, teachers, engineers, and entrepreneurs.

The performance effectively conveyed the message that women excel in both personal and professional spheres, successfully balancing family responsibilities and career aspirations with dedication and confidence.

Inspirational Audio-Video Presentation

The event further featured an inspiring audio-video presentation showcasing accomplished Indian women who have excelled in various professions and leadership roles. The presentation motivated students and encouraged them to work towards creating an inclusive and empowered society.

A special highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director of the Jamwal Group, in recognition of her remarkable contributions to the field of education.

Er. Renu Bangroo is widely recognised as a dynamic leader and an inspiration for many. With more than 35 years of experience, she has played a significant role in transforming the higher education landscape in Jammu and Kashmir.
